1. From Hereford…
Take A438 signed Brecon.
After entering Clyro, turn right signed Painscastle.
or from Hay on Wye…
Entering Hay on the B4348...
At T junction turn right and follow road down hill.
Turn left on B4531 signed Clyro and Hereford.
After entering Clyro go straight across the A438 signed Painscastle.
or from Brecon…
Go north on A470 then on to the A438 signed Hereford.
After entering Clyro turn left signed Painscastle.
…and then…
From Clyro, follow signs to Painscastle, forking left up the hill with church on your right.
After about ½ mile, turn left signed Painscastle.
Enter Painscastle up a steep, short hill.
At top is a barely noticeable crossroads, with ‘Aral Holiday Flats’ on right hand corner where you turn right.
After nearly 1 mile along the lane, entrance to Glyn is on left, the first proper turning after leaving Painscastle.
Down hardcore drive about ¼ mile.
Our house is white and is the first house down the drive just past the stables.
2. From Builth Wells…
Off the A483 to Llandrindod, turn right on to A481 signed Hundred House.
Turn right on to B4567 signed Aberedw.
After passing the craft centre, turn left signed Painscastle.
In Painscastle, the main road turns sharp left, but you need to go straight ahead.
Take the second turning on the left, by ‘Aral Holiday Flats’, into narrow lane.
After nearly 1 mile along the lane, entrance to Glyn is on left, the first proper turning after leaving Painscastle.
Down hardcore drive about ¼ mile.
Our house is white and is the first house down the drive just past the stables.
Beware!
The lanes can be narrow, with several stretches being single track with passing places. Please be very careful driving along these lanes and if in any doubt about the firmness of verges stay off them.
